Why it’s important to be diverse with your food choices

Diversity = many foods delivering many nutrients

Diversity = thousands of phytochemicals harmoniously working together

Diversity = antioxidants combating the detrimental health effects of oxidative stress

Diversity = a healthy functioning gut and diverse populations of gut microorganisms

Diversity = prevention against and lower risk of allergies, intolerances, asthma symptoms

Diversity = lowered inflammation and risk of chronic health conditions, like cardiovascular disease

Diversity = creating continual demand for a wide variety of food and crops, supporting our local farmers, and more stable ecological environment.
